Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Produce Associate to join our team. As a Produce Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and freshness of our produce while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities:
- Organize and stock produce displays to maintain an appealing and well-stocked department
- Ensure that all produce is properly labeled with accurate pricing and product information
- Assist customers in selecting high-quality produce and provide recommendations as needed
- Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately
- Receive incoming shipments of produce, check for quality, and properly store items in the warehouse
- Conduct regular inventory checks to monitor stock levels and ensure proper rotation of products
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the produce department
- Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and provide exceptional customer service

Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
- Knowledge of produce varieties, seasonality, and proper handling techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with cash register operations and basic math skills
- Experience with inventory control systems or RF scanners is beneficial
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
